• Check that all your mirrors are clean and adjusted properly
  • Check that your vehicle and trailer's wheel nuts have been tightened to the manufacturer's specifications
  • Ensure that the gas cylinders are properly secured and are turned off
  • Check that the rollout awning is stored away and locked in the travel position
  • Check that water, sullage and electrical cords have been disconnected and stored away
  • Check that roof hatches, windows doors and stone shields are closed and secure
  • Check that the TV antenna is in the travel position –securely stored
  • Check the steps are up and locked in positionLower the roof or walls depending on your RV type, and lock with hinges
  • Know the height of your RV to ensure safe clearance at service stations, under bridges and in car parks
  • Locks and keys collected and stored
  • Check operation of all lights and flashers
  • Check for proper operation of foot brake and parking brake
  • Check that cabinet doors and drawers are closed
  • Check that refrigerator door is fastened
  • Check that no heavy items are stored in overhead cabinets
  • Check that countertops, range top, tabletops and shelves are clear of unsecured items
  • Make sure the roof winding handle is stowedMake sure the TV is removed or in travel position
  • Remove the wheel chocks before leaving.
